I need a simple asp image galery that uploads images to a sql server database in binary format from the user and displays for the user from the same database.
I do not want the images stored in the file system. It must load into the database and retrieve from there as well. It may use the filesystem for temporary storage during load if needed.
The interface shoud run like this:
Option to upload photo (upload photo should be on a page by itself). User select gif, jpg or tiff image from there computer, enters a brief description and clicks upload. It then submits the binary to the sql server database. This page should also have the ability to determine the image file size and have a variable that I can adjust to set a max allowable size of the file to be uploaded.
The database should have three fields, picureID, description, picturedata. The pictureid field should be auto increment.
There should then be a view image page. It should list all images in the table in a table format. If you click on the image it should popup a new window with the image that is pulled from the database.
Keep the pages clean and tight as they will be dropped frames on other pages that I have.
