_Rating The Pros_ The purpose of this site is to follow stock recommendations from professional analysts, writers and pundits and follow those recommendations to track how well they are doing on a daily basis. In addition, each “Professional?? source will be rated based on the performance of the stocks they have recommended. This is a rough idea of what will be on the home page: <[login to view URL]> **_Overview_** Each day (or even more often if possible) the software underlying the site will go to an appropriate source of stock data (Yahoo?), get the price and calculate the percentage gain or loss from the time the stock was recommended until the most recent close. The software should allow for both purchases of stock and short sales (borrowing stock to sell and buying it back later to capitalize on the decline of a stock) The program will assume that an equal amount is invested in each stock. It will then calculate the average percentage increase or decrease for all the stocks and assign a total percentage increase or decrease for the entire portfolio of a “Professional?? based on the averages of the percentage figures. Each source will then be ranked and that ranking will be published at the site??"the first 10 will go on the home page. There will be no charge to check out the site including the home page and several features??"which we will develop in html and do not need software development Subscribers will pay $5.95 per month to access all the information to see the stocks that each “Professional?? has recommended and how well each recommendation is doing. If interested, I will send a complete RFP ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
