I need help optimizing a very large database that gets 1 million querys per day (from a program). Mostly just need advice, but you will probably need to log in to SQL Server and see what is right/wrong or how to make things faster (as opposed to smaller).
May be more work in the near future if I hit it off with you.
You should be very well versed in SQL Server 2000 management, and a bonus would be if you have a strong working knowlege of T-SQL.

**A Note To Bidders:**
Wow, there seem to be so many qualified people to help me. So let's narrow it down a little bit.
I am leaning toward those bidders who gave a clear explanation of their abilities as opposed to those who just said "Check out my profile."
Of that group, I am leaning toward the individuals who seem willing to coach/guide me and who seem to really like what they do.
With that said, there are many more jobs available from me (400+ hours non-concurrent) in the very near future. So, we could call this small job an audition, so to speak.
1) Guru-level SQL Query and SP advice on phone
2) Poke around current database setup and make recommendations as to how to improve speed
3) At least 5 hours of consultation (not necessarily concurrent)
4) Patience with me
