For an existing MYSQL database we need the following function for the backend:
Information about individuals is stored in 1 master table and 4 other tables in the db.
Unfortunately the same individual *may* have different IDs due to the origin of the data.
The function needed consolidates the ID’s of the 4 subsequent tables in a separate table (an ‘alias’ table) where they relate to the ID of the master table.
To do this the function needs to read the ID records in the subsequent tables and checks if the same ID is existing in the master table.
If it exists it writes both IDs in an ‘alias’ table.
If the ID of the master table already exists in the ‘alias’ table it just updates the missing fields.
If a matching record in the master table can not be found, it prints the whole record on the screen and it can be edited manually in the ‘alias’ table.
(or we find another simple function to find the matching record by comparing combinations of other data columns- this has to be discussed with the coder and is not included in the work scope of this project- if the coder comes up with a feasible solution this would be a bonus for the coder which will be paid for separately)
All tables with data are already existing in the db.
The chosen coder will get access to a test database with data and an ftp upload location to test online.
Deliverable is the complete php page(s) with all source codes and comments that perform above task on the MySQL database.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
