My chain of training centres uses an ancient Access based system to manage Accounts, HR, Timetabling, Student Data etc. I wish to upgrade this to a LAMP system. A central database will be hosted off-site and will be accessible via a web-based VPN. The system will offer permissoned interfaces & reports to different types of users. The system will offer the following modules (but more maybe be added later): Accounts, HR, Student Profiles, Academic Co-ordination, Placement & Terminations, Book Inventory, Teacher Timetabling, Marketing. The coding of the project will be outsourced to a company we've used several times before. What I need from you is a bid / expressions of interest to manage the project: create a spec, ensure it's execution and to audit the development. You will need to provide evidence of having worked in education / training related projects before and be able to create an industry standard specification.
