What you should do: 1. Start by using the template file. 2. Fill in the code for the four functions using the proper MIPS calling conventions. This assignment will help to develop an understanding of the MIPS assembly function calling convention. We need to write a simple calculator that takes a mathematical expression in a string and returns it’s integer value. We provide the structure for your solution based on this context-free expression grammar: expression ::= term [ ( '+' | '-' ) term ]* term ::= factor [ '*' factor ]* factor ::= '(' expression ')' | number number ::= '0' - '9' By writing four functions, one for each rule, you will be able to practice following the MIPS function call convention. Even though you will be writing the code for all four functions, you must follow the calling convention. You may assume that the calculator will only be given valid expressions with no whitespace. In addition, we provide two helper functions that you should call to help with managing the expression string pointer. These two functions, peek and consume, are defined in the template. You may assume that they follow the calling convention, even though the implementations in the grading testbench may differ from the versions in the template. Full description is given below.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
