Project Description

We are a content company based in Tokyo, and have developed our own Ruby social network platform. We also have our own library for creating SWF (Flash) files server side. We are now looking for Ruby and RubyOnRails developers to work with. 1) RubyOnRails optimization Our application includes many "widgets", which brought together create a page. The current architecture requires a lot of separate calls to many controllers, incurring much overhead. We are looking for experienced Rails programmer to re-architect some of this platform. Please give details of your previous rails projects and how you might approach this. 2) Rails social network application build-out We are looking for someone to implement the various parts of a social network, and to integrate third party libraries such as bulletin board or email modules. 3) Open Source preparation + widget API We are intending to open source the project, but would like to refactor the code before release so that other companies can easily adapt it. Basically provide some type of plug-in framework for extra widgets. Please send some examples of other Rails projects you have completed, and fee estimates.
