We’re developing a massive multiplayer videogame with a PHP server and a Flash client, and due to our work load we are forced to subcontract the server development. Server is almost done and most of functions are already implemented. This project corresponds to the lacking functions. In the attached file you can see a description of the functionalities the server must include and the functions that haven’t been implemented yet. We have calculated that the remaining development time is around 30 working hours.
This project is a test to continue developing the server, since once finished all functions it will be necessary to implement new functionalities and/or to modify the existing ones.
The project has been developed in CakePHP following the MVC pattern, and all data output has been made in JSON, making unnecessary to implement HTML or CSS templates or graphic design work, just programming. It would be preferable that candidates have previous experience with CakePHP or other development frameworks based in a Model View Controller pattern. If you don’t know what’s a framework or a Model View Controller pattern, please don’t bid for this project.
IMPORTANT: We’d like to see some examples of your code to know what’s your programming style, and also some examples of projects you’ve made in he past. When bidding, please specify what is your price per hour, besides the total price for the 30 estimated hours. If you consider it will take you more than 30 hours, specify it on the bid as well.
During the project’s development we will provide you any needed information about the functionalities already implemented and about the database, though in principle they shouldn’t interfere with the development, since functions are independent of each other and you won’t need to understand the code already implemented to write yours.
Send us a private message to ask us any additional information needed to make your bid.
It’s possible it will take us a while to choose a winner bid. Please be patient with us.
We’ve attached a document with a list containing all functions and their descriptions, and these are the functions not implemented yet (the ones you’ll have to implement):
