Project Description

We are building a directory for our website and have over 27,000 listings that are in an Excel sheet. We are looking to hire a developer that has experience building applications that interface with a backend API. We have all the data, we need someone to properly design the website and system to upload everything efficiently and accurately.

We have a website that caters to the US market, and each state and large city has its own page. This is the idea behind our website development:

We will create state pages ourselves, but at the bottom of every state page, we would like you to seamlessly integrate the top cities for each state (we will provide the cities' names). Then each city will link to its own page. Then at the bottom of each city page, will be a link to the different categories in the directory. (There are only about 10 categories.) Then, once in the directory, we would like the user to be able to search by filtering listings by category or city. So they can find businesses in their city, or find businesses by category.

Each listing out of the 27,000 total will have its own page. We want the URL permalink to be customizable in the upload, along with the page title, description, services, phone number, meta title, meta description, and more.

For the meta description, we need you to be able to pull data from our Excel sheet and make sentences out of it. For example, the data is all separated into individual cells, and so we would want you to pull out data and form a sentence like this, "Find out more about (Business name) located in (City), (State) specializing in (category).

Qualified candidates please respond to this posting with relevant experience and works created. Compensation will be determined on your skill level.
