Project Description

I have a few questions and is seeking to have them answered. If you can please contribute.

We are currently running a business website in which we sell live chicks as a product on our website. Customers have the option to purchase chicks, ducks, turkeys, and so forth; even products.

We are using WordPress right now with adopting an add-on called Woo-Commence, which is working for us but complicated for our customers. We are a small business so we are working on a small budget.

The first issue is we have local pick up pricing, and shipping pricing. These prices a different for every live chick, duck, and so forth, so for non-living products. As of right now we have set up on our website shipping prices and we have to manually change them to local pick up prices once the order has been placed which causes confusing because the the cost is more than shipping after the customer assumes that’s what they are paying. So as of right now we have a notice posted to local pick up customers that shipping charges are slightly higher than pick up prices. Our goal is to eliminate that…

Is there a way with Magneto that if a customer selects local pick up the prices can be different than shipping, or would it have to be created as a Sub Domains. Where they go to a landing page and they have to select Local pick up or shipping (2 buttons) if they select local pick up it would go to like example: [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] and it would act as 1 website? So the customer doesn’t have to create a separate account if they ever change from local pick up or shipping?

How would that work? Would it work? Any other suggestions?

Also the other issue is that a chicken (a Product) such as Barred Rock comes in Males, Females, and St. Run (Males & Females Mixed) Each have separate pricing per sex and also have a quality price break. Can create 1 product, with 3 product variations, with each having their own quality price breaks? or does one given product need to be created for each sex with its own quality price break? Cause the cost of each is different.

Shipping. Now all of our live chicks or birds we charge free for pick up. Shipping we charge [url removed, login to view] per chick no matter the breed or sex, each chick is [url removed, login to view] + a flat rate of $[url removed, login to view] per order. Can that be done? Also we must charge New York Residents Sales Taxes unless tax exempt status.

Now we also charge one more fee, which can be separate from tax or combined. All orders there is an SOC (Small Order Charge) of $[url removed, login to view] no matter, plus $[url removed, login to view] per different breed or sex. So for example If they buy a barred rock its $[url removed, login to view] and a Buff Orpington its another $1.00. So its SOC ($[url removed, login to view]) plus QBC (Quarter Box Charge of a $[url removed, login to view] per each breed so that total charge would be $7+1+1= $[url removed, login to view] total.

Thats all! smile Can this be done with Magneto? Or should i look at something else? Does anyone know who can make this happen like we need it.

Any suggestions, comments will be greatly-fully appreciated. If you would like to see what we currently have visit [url removed, login to view] - that is in Wordpress with Woocommence plugin.

Please express how you would do this, how much it would cost, what platform? How long would this take. This would have to be built on a sub domain while under construction, adding products, doing custom work as agreed above. Once all is completed a final project on the main domain and tested and working 100%.
