This project is for a Restaurant Menu website for Seattle (this is add on to our current website)
Looking to add a couple of features to the page and some minor changes
Looking for the following add on to our website- subject to changes as the project progress.
1. Google Map + distant calculator
a. Base on the user address, the program will calculate the distance from point A (users address) to point B (restaurant Address). All miles will be display on the webpage above “read more”
2. Change location
a. Next to the black bar “Sign in & Sign Up” have another one for “Location” (when clicked on, a pop up will allow user to enter Location address, this will recalculate distance
3. Quick navigation to each section of the menu.
b. have a floating bar (auto generate base on category created) on the left- sample on screenshot
4. A fully Customized User Profile Page for “My Menu” and “My Account”
a. Page design should look professionally done, well organized and user friendly
b. “change password” should be in “my account” page
c. Avatar option so user can upload their personal picture (if no picture is uploaded, use the blue monster as default until user upload a picture)
i. Display user review counts for public
ii. Display user “Full Course Menu” under avatar
d. My Menu Page should allow user to view
i. Reviews folder. Example 1star, 2star, 3star, 4 star, 5star. Each review user make will be sort accordingly into the corresponding folder.
ii. Pictures uploaded in picture album
1. My Menu is a page consist of “User’s Name” under the name “Full Course Menu” – “The Full Course Menu is an individual's ultimate meal”
2. Concept – still working on the idea.
e. A randomizing feature/tool that will randomly select a dish from folder 5 star
i. Also a tool that will randomly select a restaurant with a filtering option of- distance of 1miles, 5miles, 10miles, rating, etc. (feature can be used by public without account)
5. Security Registration when creating account
a. When user register, send a confirmation code (auto generate) to the email to complete the registration
b. Once complete, remove the restriction- approval by admin, so user can begin using their account.
6. Add categories
a. Category for the area codes, seattle, downtown, beacon, etc.
b. Category for the type of foods (this can be entered by user-and approved by admin)
7. Add sorting
a. Include “Sort by Distance” from closest to farthest
b. Include “Adventurous” Under “Sort by rating” (this will display the least active menu, example, menu that have lowest reviews or no zero reviews
c. Allow combination sorting, example, can click on multiple box by reviews and distance to view highest rating and closes restaurant
8. Changes to the site
a. At the log in screen, change “user name” to “Email Address”
b. “Log in” at top right corner- when user click on, direct to a different screen for logging in (similar to “Sign up”)
c. In the restaurants screen, include the address and the miles
d. Remove “Cash”
e. Add “Update Business Info” for user to summit changes to business info to admin. (use yelp for reference)
f. Allow user to click on “reviews” to directly forward to the post
g. Create admin Email, please instruct us on how to create our website email
h. “Contact Us” have the page be a message box where user can fill in a message including their name, Email, Title and a send button that will send the message to Admin personal Email
i. Restrict user from posting reviews for the same dish (meaning user have already reviewed the dish once before) Once a month.
i. Restrict user from posting reviews twice a day
ii. Restrict user from posting reviews for the same menu twice every 2 week (meaning user can only review for a specific menu twice, every 2 week before they can post review for the same menu again.
