Project Description

We currently have transaction data and we want this displayed on a dashboard. We would like live updating of all graphs with periodical pooling of our latest transactions. The WSDL will be provided to the bidder when accepted[][1][][2]

The final product will be one jsp/html file containing one graph similar to Google analytics, a last 5 transactions section, a pie chart containing a breakdown of transaction types and a top periods summary. The last transactions will be pooled periodically, all charts will be updated when a setting or variable is changed.

The will have an editable form and a drop down to select graph type. I would like this to be a hidden div that only appears when selected. The editable fields will be sent in the request and will determine the response. The format can be seen in our WSDL file.

The result of this project is to have a graphically impressive, dynamic and useful tool for our customers.

We suggest usage of Fusion Chart but this can be changed if the coder prefers another free/open source package.

The dashboard will contain the following :

1. Line Chart - Containing historical data / stats

2. Pie Chart - With percentage breakdown of transaction types

3. Table - Containing the last few transactions

4. Table - Containing top periods... i.e. Top 5 days for average transaction amounts

The data will be received from the web service using java script. All data will be returned in a SOAP Envelope so this will need to be parsed using js.

The final product will be hosted in the same application as our Dashboard service and local session data will be used. To assist in developement we have set up a development WS using hard coded data.
