Project Description

What I would like built is an embeddable piece of software that uses the Google Map API to calculate Taxi fare. This is not a new product at all. To start off, please see these examples:

-[url removed, login to view]

-[url removed, login to view] ā€“ Taxi Calulator found in Map Apps

-[url removed, login to view]

All of these apps ask the user to input two points of interest, the app then uses the distance and time of the route provided via the Google Maps API to calculate the cost of the trip.

What I would like is to have this app replicated, while using some of the best practices of each of the above apps. I have attatched a PDF of what I would like, but will want to talk to the winning Freelancer through to understand how it will work and what to be done.

Heres an overview of the features Iā€™d want:

-ability to load in common places of interest (i.e.: airports, statdiums, etc) ā€“ as found in Taxi Wiz

-ability to add more than two stops

-ability to define the area/radius with which the cab may service and the map will work

-ability to customize pricing based on ā€“ initial charge, waiting time, distance travelled and additional fees

-ability to fill in a form at the end of the calculation to email contact information and ride details

Please feel free to bid. The successful freelancer will need to have a few brief discussions with me to determine exactly the scope of the project. They will need to be able to code both a front and back end to make the app customizable and look appealing. I am looking for someone with experience using Google Maps API already.

Good luck!
