I need the genius of a passionate coder to simplify a problem that plagues the Property Maintenance Industry.
You could really raise the bar and put your passion into a project that has deep meaning and value for my clients. (I'm sick of working with low-life-no-passion-coders…)
Its all about keeping track of different locations, basic information about those locations and pinning those locations on a map.
I'm looking for 2 things:
1.) An experienced developer that can implement and finish projects ON TIME and ON BUDGET
2.) A developer who can strip away features to the apps core to get the first iteration up and working in 2 to 3 weeks of the start of the project. (37signals mindset) (The project isn't scheduled to start until late January 2013 when the funds are available)
I'm not concerned with the programming language you choose to use but open source is preferable.
Here are the details about the project:
The software will be developed as a SaaS product for the property maintenance industry.
Its functionality is very similar to pindropapp.com. This would be a great framework to start with. There will NOT be social integration or "curated" pins, however, there will be multiple users within one company so all the pins must sync together.
Because this will be a commercial (paid) product, using Google or Bing maps is NOT acceptable. The mapping features must use something like [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] so there are little or zero licensing fees. I'm not a developer so I don't know of other open source mapping options so your suggestions are appreciated.
Each pin that's dropped will have additional meta data added to it. The meta data will be via text boxes, drop down options, or check boxes. This is just like Pin Drop App except there will be additional fields beside Name and Tags.
There must also be a mobile web interface so that users can drop and view pins with their mobile device.
Attached are some screen shots form a sample interface to better explain the functionality.
Please voice your concerns of any issues I may have overlooked and give me a game plan of how you would tackle this project.
