Digg Clone in Ajax

This project is to clone the [url removed, login to view] website. All functionality must be duplicated except where noted. To bid on this project it is essential that the vendor fully understands the functionality of the [url removed, login to view] application and has an account with the site and has used all the functions therein. Pligg will be used as the base code and Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, Windows are the standards. Server side technology, [url removed, login to view], Java, Ruby, etc can be suggested.

Vote on a story or comment.

Total votes and comments are tracked and tabulated. Will be displayed in format other than numbers.

View top users calculated by formula modifiable by Administrator.

Search for a story.

Report a bug.

User has option to be remembered.

Administrator can promote or demote a story.

Administrator can delete a story or a user.

Automatic promotion of stories based on threshold set by Administrator.

Category defination by Administrator.

RSS version of stories is provided.

DiggSpy functionality is not to be copied.

Other features to be added include:

User can choose a group and read, vote, and post within that group.

When user signs in, their group is remembered and stories for that group automatically presented.

If a group isn´t chosen, stories from all groups are presented on the front page.

User can search for a group.

List of groups will be loaded into the application.

User can flag a story for administrator review.

Content filter software applied against stories.

Notify friend of a story posting.

It will utilize MySql.

It will be built upon Pligg. Must use Ajax and CSS.

Domain name must be moved to hosting company.

Application must be fully tested on host chosen by client. Recommendations for hosting from developer will be considered.

Application must be fully tested on all major browsers.

Graphics and style templates from a separate designer must be incorporated and match the graphics prototype.

The application must be fully tested and then user acceptance tested by client and bug free for payment from escrow.

30 day support for bugs in any requirement must be provided.

Specific requirements to be provided upon acceptance of bid.
