I want to build a real estate listings web site, using google maps API. The site is to be used for residential properties that are for rent and for sale. Similar site that I would like to clone are [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and cityscribs.com. Data Source 1. The property listings can be entered manually by the advertisers. One or more listings can be entered at a time. 2. Spiders that can read meta data (property listings) from other real estate sites. 3. Manually entered by system admin. The website will need to support the following: User Types 1. Users looking for properties. Be able to save interested properties. 2. Advertisers listing porperties for sale or for rent. Should also have functionalities as User Type #1. User Account Management - Please look at [url removed, login to view] for the types of user account management functionalities I'm looking for. These are implemenatation examples, I'm willing to listen for other suggestions as how to implement these similar functionalities. User Search Criteria - Please note the followin is intended only as an example of the required search criteria but, not as a design layout. search (city, state, zip, MLS, WebID) (parse string) state city Type (condos, townhouse, single family) Price $$$ to $$$ Bedrooms Baths xFor Rent xFor Sale (Search) (Advanced Search) Advanced Search - pool - garage - size (applies to condos) - search properties near a specific school district - search properties near specific military base - search properties Filters (on/off) - Metro stops locations - School locations (elementary, middle, high school) - military base locations - shopping centers Admintration Tools - provide necessary tools to adminster site, update content on site, update database, track performance and traffic. I do not care how the script is derived. Meaning, whether you clone this from a similar site, developed it from beginning or a combination of both. The important thing is that the code needs to be well structured/developed, efficient and can be easily modified and expanded. All IP for code and script will belong to me when completed.
