Project Description

We are looking for someone to build a versatile Drupal 6 theme with a number of options that can be configured on a block-by-block basis using the Skinr module ( [url removed, login to view] ).

One option would be to create a sub-theme of the Fusion Theme ( [url removed, login to view] ) to leverage all of Fusion’s features.

You could also make your own theme or another sub-theme, but it needs to use Skinr to give the end user the ability to change the theme without directly editing it (and without visually breaking). The requirements the theme must meet can be found in the attached file: "Neon Armadillo Theme Flexibility Requirements"

Skill Sets:

1. Required

1.1. Knowledge of Drupal 6 theming and best practices

1.1.1. Familiarity with PHP

1.2. Experience with CSS3 and HTML5 standards and best practices

1.3. Ability to communicate well in English

2. Recommended

2.1. Experience creating themes that utilize the Skinr module

2.2. Familiarity with Javascript

2.3. Basic Graphic Design Skills

2.3.1. Color Matching, Contrasting, & Selection

Scope of Project:

1. The site itself will span about 8 page types (with different combinations of blocks)

1.1. Configuring individual pages will be done through the Skinr module and is NOT the responsibility of the Themer

1.2. Different page types will need to have different layouts

1.2.1 The theme will have to allow for this (for example: through sub-themes that can be used for different pages or with columns that can contain clocks that only show up on certain pages and collapse when empty)

2. We will need at least 5 distinct block styles to choose from (that we can select for each block using Skinr, including the main body of Nodes and blocks created from Views). These should be created using different class options, some of which might be packaged together while others would be able to be mixed and matched. These options include:

2.1. Title Style

2.1.1. Some styles may include their own background image/color

2.1.2. We would like (but do not require) some titles to have the title broken up so that part of it uses one style and part of it uses another, for instance, the first word in a line being one color while the rest of the line is another.

2.2. Border

2.2.1. Some borders will use rounded corners

2.2.2. Some borders will use gradients

2.3. Text - There should be a few options for each block's text, including Settings for the following:

2.3.1. Headers

2.3.2. Body

2.3.3. Special (Strong, Em, etc.)

2.3.4. Quoted

2.3.5. Font

2.3.6. Color

2.3.7. Size

2.3.8. Background color/image

2.3.9. Alignment (in block)

2.4. Background

2.4.1. Color

2.4.2. Solid

2.4.3. Gradients

2.5. Image

2.5.1. Image options should be set up to allow them to be repeated or stretched as necessary

2.5.2. Image Formatting

2.5.3. Options for borders and formatting of images within a block

2.6. Widget Formatting (if possible)

2.6.1. Options for borders and formatting of widgets (such as showcases, galleries, carousels, videos, etc.)

3. Graphics

3.1. Some graphics will be needed for the theme, but only in so much as they are required for gradients, rounded corners, simple background textures, and the like. We have no preference for how displays are created (styles, images, etc.), as long as the quality and compatibility of the output are good.

3.1.1. There will be no complex textures or unique images required for the theme.

Resources - The Themer will be provided with the following resources:

1. Mock-Ups of what finished blocks should look like

1.1. These are in .pdf format

1.2. They will need to be recreated in the theme (not exported)

2. Our Company Logo & matching color pallet

1. We will reserve payment in Milestone(s) once a Freelancer is selected

2. Payment can be broken up by a schedule agreed upon before start of project

1. This project is "work for hire"

1.1. We expect full, royalty-free ownership of the Drupal Theme

1.2. The Freelancer cannot resell this Theme to other clients
