Project Description

I'd like to have built an Online Editorial Calendar website.

This is a basic calendar website with the addition of several specific fields to add, edit and delete data. If possible I’d like to have it built without using MySQL, but I realize this may not be feasible without a database back-end. I’d like to hear ANY suggestions for building this without using a database!

My technology preference is basic HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript and maybe even Ajax or AIR. I’m open to your suggestions.

The basic content (fields) to capture include:

Topics Box - What to publish based on audience needs and your brainstormed ideas

List Box - – ability to create a prioritized list of what to publish

Large Text box - Work effort required to publish each piece of content

Smaller text boxes - micro-content needed (e.g., page titles, headlines, navigation link labels, ALT tags, footers, blurbs)

Dates - Dates assigned for writing, editing, publishing for each piece of content

Text Block - Publishing location (e.g. print, blog, email newsletter, Twitter, Facebook)

Text Blocks - the authors name who will create the content plus their contact information

Text Block - Backup content identified for each piece of content on the calendar

The GUI will be clean and simple, along with user-friendly navigation

The Operation – basically people will login to the web site, navigate to a specific date, then enter information about what they plan to publish. So every date in the calendar may have information tied to it by different users.

Once data is entered it needs to be saved and editable for later changes

There should also be a Search function for keywords or dates.

If you have some previous samples of projects you’ve done like this it would be very helpful
