PHP programming job

A programmer has written a piece of PHP code for our customer management application. The code is currently difficult to maintain and inefficient. It needs to be re-written and we want to find a programmer who knows how to structure and write efficient, clean, and well-commented code. IMPORTANT: To bid for this job, review the attached files and read the "[login to view URL]" file for more detailed instructions. Provide a list of the specific changes and improvements you would make if you were to rewrite the code. You must provide us with the list of recommended changes in order to be considered for this task. The programmer who gives us the best revision recommendations will be selected for this project. The project itself is to revise the code according to your own recommendations. We have many PHP projects that we are working on and if you are selected for this task there is an opportunity for much more ongoing work. The skills required for ongoing work include: PHP, postgreSQL, Smarty (templating system), CVS (Concurrent Versions System), HTML, DHTML, and javascript. We require that you install and use Yahoo Messenger to enable faster communication with our team. ## Deliverables 1) To bid for the job, you will be required to deliver a list of recommended changes to the code. Once your bid is accepted, you will then have 1 week to deliver: 2) Complete, fully-tested, and functional working revised code. 3) A document listing all the tests you performed on the completed system, along with the results of those tests. (Every aspect of the revised system must be completely throughly tested). 4) We require that any bugs that are discovered in the code will be fixed, free-of-charge, within 24 hours of being reported for 3 months following this proposal.
