I am using Yahoo pipes to combine multiple auto dealer inventory feeds. The pipes feed will display vehicles with information and pictures. This feed will contain 500+ items. [url removed, login to view]
this page lets you grab the feed in several different formats. I can customize feed too directly from the provider if any changes need to be made.
I will supply the existing site template and images I made in Photoshop as examples for a guide. I need a page with an index of the feed items and individual pages generated for each item. The script Rss2HTML pro [url removed, login to view] claims to do this but that is not something I understand! The RSS feed should be checked every 30 minutes for and update index page and add/delete item pages.
Here is an example page layout: [url removed, login to view]
I would like to use a similar but far more basic layout. The text in the RSS item description will contain the vehicle details and up to 30 pictures. The thumbnail for each item should be generated by the first picture. If no pictures are available I will supply a default to be used.
Item pages will be similar to [url removed, login to view] but again more basic. The item/description has all the vehicle data and links to the pictures. This page should display the first picture in the item/description as full size and thumbnails for every picture in the item/description. The thumbnails being clicked must substitute the full size display picture.
Item pages need to include a contact form that will email the form data. The required fields should be name, email, phone number, questions. The form data should be emailed and the subject of the email should be the item/title from the RSS feed. I used [url removed, login to view] for my existing forms.
Page Meta keywords and description should be text from item/description followed by my company details.
Page titles should be vehicle year / make / model from the item/title followed by business name and phone#
