Social Engine 4.x.x - Tweaking, Improve Speed, Performance & SCALE (Resources Could be Shared on Multiple Servers)

This project is for an Advanced Developer with strong social engine [url removed, login to view] knowledge that knows:

Part 1. How to Tweak, Improve Speed and Performance of Social Engine [url removed, login to view] without doing any heavy customization. So, it's just simple things that could be done to improve it. Any heavy customization is disregarded as I plan on keep upgrading.

Please don't come up with shared tweaks like the GZIP, DEFLATE, php_flag or database timeout

Part 2. As you may know, Social Engine is modular. I want to scale it and by that I mean I would like an easy and simple way to have its plugins (most importantly: video, music and album) share their resources on multiple servers. I would say kind of what facebook, myspace and other major social sites do.

An administration User Interface for it like Scripteen does for its resources distribution could be ideal, yet if it could complicate things, it could be left for later.

CAUTION: Those who have never done something like this in the past should not apply! You may apply if you could take care of part 1 or part 2 instead of the two of them.

An additional requirement for this project: BE HONEST & WILLING TO WORK FAST.
