Project Description

Taxi sharing. The idea is that people will register on the site with the following information; name, mobile number & photo. Then when they are for e.g. New York at night & want to share a taxi home they access the system & input their current location, their destination & departure time. Then they will get back up to 3 matches, can accept or reject them all. What will come back is a photo of each person & first name. The website will save people money, as they will be able to share the cost of the journey with 1, 2 or 3 others. As part of the registration process, that I want to keep short & to the point, so as not to put people off, they will be allowed enter 3 or 5 keywords / keyplaces, thus allowing them share also with people going on the same route, but not necessarily to their final destination. the website will be free to download, registration will be free, but people will be charged 10 or 20 cent every time they access the system to either request a journey or to partake in one. I propose to do this either through credit card or by taking it from their phone credit, There will be room on the app screen for a banner ad.

the people register online either on the site or app with name, mobile & photo. Card details will be required if not using payment by SMS. On the site there will be various script sections for a legal disclaimer, FAQ'S etc. I would want the system to allow messaging through the app so the people can chat to arrange exactly where to meet up, as for safety reasons, mobile numbers though on the system will not be disclosed.
