My client is a start-up company looking to create a content-based consumer web site. This is a brand new site and we need a full design done, with heavy graphics, including a logo and colors. Web site copy and photos will be provided by the client. The site must appeal to women of all ages.

The site should have a clean design with intuitive navigation. An example of a site design that my client likes is,

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building media-rich content sites and have an exceptional design aesthetic, and should be comfortable working with major social network developer APIs. Experience with search engine optimization is a big plus.

The site will contain:

Editorial Content – 10 top level categories, 58 sub-categories with 3 pages in each (~175-200 pages total), pages will feature content articles and to have post to Facebook, Twitter, [url removed, login to view], Digg, etc. capability
RSS Feed – gathers news based on a keyword search
Must support video
On-site Blog
Message Board
Job Board
Marketplace – page with product images and links to affiliate site along with site-owner determined ratings (preferred: a feature where users can give a product ratings as well)
Login for site-wide account
Facebook API powered alternative to login, everything that user does on the site should publish to the Facebook news feed (i.e. enter product ratings, reviews, etc. etc.)
Twitter API – integrate Twitter feed into social section of site, allowing users to log in and create Twitter accounts, follow the site’s official Twitter account, post @ replies to the site’s official Twitter account, all without leaving the site (like [url removed, login to view])
