Project Description

Project scope summary : Fix a Joomla/virtuemart login problem where incorrect password alert fails to show.

This has to be done on a development site, with corrections advised so I can apply to the live site.

Background :

- I have a recently upgraded Joomla 1.5 site ( running in 1.0 legacy mode).

- The joomla and virtumart login has an error where the Site login doesn't show "incorrect password" alert. ie it works fine when a user enters a correct username and password, and they are taken to the registered user layout. But, if the user enters an incorrect password, nothing happens - they are just redirected to the index page of the non-registered users site. ie see [url removed, login to view]

I need someone to faultfind and fix for me - on a development site ([url removed, login to view]

)for which they will be given FTP and admin access. ie they won't be given access to the production site.

The project involves

a) demonstrating the fix on the development site ([url removed, login to view])

b) advising the cause of the error.

c) Advising the solution ( ie files changed, configuration changes etc) such that I can apply to the live site.

I am happy to pay in two installments ie 80% on demonstrated fix, 20% on my successfull application to the live site.

There is possibility for substantial future work and on-going relationship if the freelancer can demonstrate good communication and disciplined professional approach and a good understanding of Joomla.
