Project Description

I need a Linux/Apache/Mail technician. Linux Server on monthly lease. Full access including root. This is not a virtual server. Multiple IP's accross many domains. The problem: I send very little mail but I keep getting blacklisted because of "HELO" In the email header there is problem. All emails from all my domains have the same problem. They report the ip address in the "from" statement of the header instead of the domain name. It is very serious because when doing link exchange and communication with other sites 50% of all sent mail gets returned. Here is the message I have posted looking for techs, it explains the problem better. So now I'm going to give an exact example of the situation. I have used ***'s for IP's for obvious reasons. 1. My IP's are banned because my outgoing mail is not correctly identifying itself. a. It gives a IP address instead of a domain for one and there are other problems. Here is one of the anti-spam sites that have blocked some of my IP's. I get my mail returned and it contains this: 591 your host [207.226.***.***] is blacklisted by sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org. Send your questions to blacklist-admin(AT)[url removed, login to view] Very cool message actually because it tells you to go there and send them an email, then they will immediately return the email with 1 of 5 error messages. So I did so and I got this message back. host [url removed, login to view] [[url removed, login to view]]: 550 Your HELO name for IP address 207.226.***.*** was "207.226.***.***" It should return [url removed, login to view] Well, according to them, it has to have my domain name, not IP. This URL can be used to check your email server when it comes to sending mail and why many sites block incoming mail from servers like mine that are not configured correctly. ht?p://[url removed, login to view] . Please, serious parties only. My server is running DirectAdmin, and Exim for mail on Fedora. Thanks

## Deliverables

For mail to be able to be sent without being blocked by some of the top spam filters. I realize that I will have to get my IP's off there lists but I can do that. Once I see all headers are correct I will be happy. I would also like to know how the server was fixed. No matter what the mods take, the server under no circumstances can be offline for more than a few minutes at a time.

## Platform

Linux
