Develop a GUI for a linux based remote desktop based client (can be X windows based) that will run on a small ARM processor based system giving a prompt on bootup for a username and password. This will have to tie into a linux based RDP client (something similar to [url removed, login to view]) without exposing the user to any additional options. RDP should be used to automatically adjust the resolution to the native resolution of the user's display.
Also, I'll need the associated scripts to go along with startup and shutdown, as well as meaningful error messages for failed logins, no internet connectivity, etc.
Programming experience (linux, c, c++, and shell scripting) and exposure to remote desktop applications is generally desirable.
1. System should boot and give prompt for login
2. System should drop into remote desktop platform
3. If above doesn't happen meaningful error messages should be displayed
