We have an MS Access database which has around 20 tables in it which I would like to explore the potential to import into a mySQL database.
The purpose of the script would be to open the Access tables and perform an INSERT IGNORE function into a mySQL database so that the data which will constantly updated on the independent Access database can be appended to the existing tables.
We have UnixODBC apache component installed and would be prepared to work with a seasoned Linux/PHP specialist to build an import function.
If this function is successful we will also want to explore a rebuild of the ASP system we are currently running into a more flexible PHP model.

Hey, I've read your requirements about the PHP/MySQL import and it seems pretty straightforward. I am confident I can help you get this resolved. Regards, Sam.
Why don't you use the existing Export to ODBC database functionality of MS Access? You will still use the Access one and update the MySQL one based on it ?
