I'm looking for a linux expert who can set up a SIMPLE to use backup program that will backup my server each day through a cron job. It should work like rsync, or even use rsync... to backup first the entire collection of files selected from the user interface, and then only the changed files each night. It must do this from behind a simple web based GUI, geared mostly for a non technical user. The web based GUI user interface should allow the following: 1. INITIAL SETUP: Enter the Amazon S3 keys and any other related setup information required, both locally and with Amazon S3. 2. Enter the paths and/or files that we want backed up. ie: /home/*. Of course we would want to add multiple paths. 3. A restore menu that allows us to restore any give file or directory saved. 4. Any other items the programmer might deem necessary. 5. The GUI must be able to be installed in a password protected directory. The program should be able to be installed via FTP, so that a person using a shared server without SSH access, could use it for their own account, or we could use it to back up an entire server. The program will run either from a command line which of course could be accessed from a cron job, or to a web based interface which would give us a simple GUI. I should have access to change the html GUI look and feel... but of course I wouldn't want to change the functionality at all. Development to be done on the programmer's server with their own S3 account, and when done I will install it on my server. Documentation should cover any specific things needed to do on Amazon's side, as well as SIMPLE installation and operating directions. I cannot stress enough, this is to be a consumer level program, not somthing that only a linux techie would understand. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux based servers... should work on both a shared web hosting account, or a dedicated linux server.
