I have several programs that are written in PHP/MySQL. These programs show the date and time of the fields as it is stored in the database. Now, I need to incorporate the 'Time Zone' support into these program. I am looking for a solution that does not slow down query results.
Let me explain you, the server runs in California, USA and all transactions get Cailfornia datetime stamp. I have a user in East Coast (New York) which is 3 hours ahead of California. This user wants to see transactions in East Coast time zone rather than California time zone.
I am looking for a solution that supports any international time zone and also, takes care of USA "daylights saving time", etc. You should provide me the solution along with a working sample program that works with PHP/MySQL environment.
