Create a script/webapp that will run on linux (ubuntu) and ideally be managed and interfaced from a php page and mysql ## Deliverables Create a simple bash or python script that will run on linux (ubuntu) and idealy be managed and interfaced from a php page and mysql The scripts function is to copy files from a source machine to several destination machines via 'scp' or 'ssh'. The script should ask for a source machine (ip address) and folder as well as the source username and folder. It should then ask for the destination details of ipaddress, folder username and password for up to say up to 100 machines. (The username password and folder will always be the same on the destinations. the destinations will be referenced by their ip addresses or domain names After that the script should then copy the selected files (or filder) to the destinations and keep track of failures and successes. failures should be automatically placed in a 'failed list' for later retrying. The script can be interfaced through php (you will need to create the page) and have the ability to use mysql to store any data you would like to? (you will need to send me the table create statements) In your bid please state your intended method to create the script and which resources you would intend using (if mysql or only bash / python). The ideal script would use mysql to store all the info , right from the file to be copied to the log of 'success' vs fail. The ideal script will also have a mechanism to test the detinations to see if the latest file exists or not. if the file exists (must be latest version via some version control method) then that files will be skipped for that machine My ideal interface would be a php based web page that interfaces with mysql to manage all the variables of the script. All the destination machine already exist in the mysql database and it would be possible to 'call' the destination via that method.
