555048 Magento Partial Shipment Customization

Hello, I need a magento customization to be done. I have a webstore and we do alot of partial shipments. When we mean partial shipments, it means, some items are not sent in 1 single shipment. So, what happens is, we update the QTY in magento admin, Lets say, Product A QTY to be shipped 1. Product B Qty to be shipped 2. But, we only have product b on stock and we ship out product b first. So, it becomes, Product A qty to be shipped 1. (since it is not shipped yet) All this is fine! But, the order status, remains to be PROCESSING. We want to differentiate REAL processing orders and Partial shipments. So, is it possible to set the order status AUTOMATICALLY as "Partial Shipment" If a partial shipment is done? There are pre-built magento extensions to do it MANUALLY. But, i want the order status to change automatically when such an action occurs.
