Project Description

We have a Magento website with custom import/export modules running. The processes are as follows;

1. At the top of each hour one process exports sales information to a csv file on the server. Each time the process runs it also creates a backup of the file and adds the date to it for historical records.

This process can be run manually through the admin but also runs hourly on a cron job. A local server FTP's into the server after this file is written and process the file locally. Then the local server uploads a different file to the server and Magento imports and processes that file. The file matches Magento order ID with the local "retail order ID" from an older AS400 POS.

Issue that needs to be fixed - The file that gets written is not the correct order, it needs to write to a specific file on the server. Also, when the file is returned from the local AS400 POS, the sales need to move from 'Processing' to 'Complete'.

2. The other process is an inventory update file update process. The local AS400 POS writes a file to the server each hour. Magento imports this file and updates inventory information (3 prices and quantity.) Manually running this process through the back-end works, but only if a smaller file is processed. We need to figure out how to get this working consistently.

The code is all pretty straight-forward, just needs tuned a bit to get consistent and correct operations out of the processes. We will ask that everything be detailed out in the process, as we need to know step-by-step what is happening.
