We have built an app using HTML5+JS and packaged in Phonegap. Now, we have come to realize that this was a poor choice, as the JS frameworks out there - and the one we have been relying on (jqmobile) are - well - not mature yet at all.
So, we have decided to switch to Appcellerator so that we can get the smooth UI experience that we want.
We do not have the required Appcellerator expertise in-house. It would take us a long time to get up to speed, and then port our existing project - a lot longer than for an expert, at least!
So, we are looking for a VERY talented appcelerator programmer to take our existing HTML5+JS project and port it to Appcelerator.
As mentioned this is a port of an existing HTML5+JS application which is feature complete (everything works, the UI is finished etc.) - And as mentioned the reason we want to change from a jqmobile+phonegap solution is because jqmobile is simply not mature and reliable enough (yet). Our main problems are:
*) Sluggish UI
*) Poor and flickering transitions
*) Select menus are completely broken in jqmobile
Appcelerator would fix this, and also simplify a lot of our existing code.
The UI is in danish, but all the code is in "english" and commented in english. We would provide a version where the entire UI is translated to english, to avoid any confusion.
We would like to request that the programmer would use our git repository and issue tracker (if possible) to check in his work.
The existing application can be seen here:
Inspecting the source will reveal our core .js files, so you can get a feel for the quality of the code. It is fairly well documented, but there are a few parts in there that are fiendishly complicated - but we will of course help in any way we can in documenting everything further and we will be available to explain any and all functionality to ensure a smooth transition.
