Project Description

Project Description:
[ Introduction ]

We want to show address items as drop-down list selector at the front-end for our Magento ( visitors in every dialog (Shipping Estimate, Shipping Address, My Account_Address Book, etc) where it asks for Country/State/City (as dropdown). It should be able work with Product Matrix Shipping Extension by WebShopApps Extension.

[ Project Scoop ]

This is meant for VISITORS-FRONT-END. Region/State, Cities and Postal Code must be inserted in Magento native code to work with “Product Matrix” Shipping Extension from WebShopApps, this is because every Region/State and City is being used by the CVS files containing the Shipping Charges that will be used later with this Extension, please check the Screenshots to understand better the “Product Matrix” extension ([url removed, login to view]).

You must also provide User Interface (UI) to allow further ADD/MOD/DEL Countries/States-Providences/Cities/ the drop-down must work as well as for native Magento functionality after use this UI. No design changes at all must be made, not core files mod, only the drop-down feature must be made to avoid problems with further Extensions.

The State/Province Label must be named: State/Region (in English) / DEPARTAMENTO-Provincia (in Spanish)
The City Label must be: City(in English) Distrito (in Spanish)

* FRONT-END and BACK-END (Labels)

[ functionality ]

Once Country is selected, then Region/State drop-down should be available and once you select the desired Region/State the City drop-down is enabled for selection. Each subsequent level depends on the previous level to provide options to select from. If “ ñ ” or “ ´ ”characters causes conflict at DB they must be changed for “n” an/or avoid the “ascents”. On each change of Region/State the dropdown menu for City should be updated automatically with the selectable City values for that specific State/Region
Example1, if selected Country Peru, then dropdown menu displays options only for regions in Peru, if then selected option for Region: LIMA-Lima, then only show City dropdown options Ancon, Ate, Barranco, Breña, etc. (from the attached excel spreadsheet). If then Region changed to AREQUIPA - Arequipa then show in City drop-down only Alto Selva Alegre, Arequipa, Cayma, Cerro Colorado, Characato, etc (from attached excel spreadsheet).
If an option is selected with no information available then leave as is with text box with input type text (no options).
Example2, if selected Country USA, then dropdown menu displays options only for regions (states) in USA, if then selected option for Region (state): California, then show City and Zip/Postal code as blank textbox where the visitor can input text.

Complete Name must visualize at the drop-down without change default Magento size dialog style.

[region_&[url removed, login to view] ]

All the following Region/States belong to Peru, first column is the Region/State name followed by its Cities names (in column B) called Distrito. For Region/State and Cities, ABC sort must be used. (same functionality for UI).
[ default option selection ]
For every dialog which uses address as an input, there should be a default value which the visitor can change in the frontend by selecting different values from the drop-downs created. The default values must be:
Country: Peru
Region/State: LIMA - Lima
City: (blank)
