Project Description

Before you bid- you MUST understand what the job entails and be able to complete the task. Do NOT bid if you are not fluent in PHP. This is probably an easy task, so the most practical bid will be chosen.

I have a job boards script. It allows people to advertise and search for people to do jobs.
On the front page of the site is an "Incoming Jobs" array that displays the newest jobs. People can respond to jobs that match their category. For example a mechanic can respond to an inquiry regarding "Mechanics".

Here is the problem:
If a job was posted before a visitor became a member, the new member cannot reply to the job unless I manually update their account in the database (which is not practical).
The array on the front page "Incoming Jobs" displays all jobs, but the members can only see jobs in their account that were created after they became members.

The solution:
I want new members to be able to reply to new jobs and old. I need the new change done, but the old functions to still work as well. The current script limits how many times a user can respond to jobs based on their account status. I can edit these settings in the back-end.
I just want the users to be able to reply to jobs that are posted on the front page.

I have attached an example images of the problem and what a user sees after logging in.
The example shows two incoming jobs on the front page. But one job was created before the user created an account. So only one job can be seen in the users dashboard. The user is tied to the Category "Monitors" so they should be able to see both jobs.

The current script only allows users to see the jobs relevant to their category. I do not want to change this. I want to keep this function the same. A doctor can only see "doctor" inquiries and not "mechanic" inquiries.

If you understand what needs to be done, please feel free to bid.

Final Rules: You need to show me which file(s) was altered and where to edit it. I will apply the patch myself to the main site. You will be editing a test site. It is important that I know which file(s) was changed and how it was altered so that I can make sure that the edit will not cause problems with the script.
