Project Description

Are you an enterprise-level WordPress developer with extensive experience in BuddyPress? If so, this exciting Silicon Valley startup wants you to join our existing development team as a part-time contractor (potential for full-time employment down the road). We are seeking an expert Linux/Apache/ MySQL/PHP/JavaScript programmer experienced in:

• BuddyPress

• Wordpress MultiSite

• Bootstrap framework

• Responsive design

• Google Maps API (including importing .kml files and user generated locations)

• Streaming Video display for mobile and desktop (including YouTube, Brightcove, and ffmpeg)

• Statistical data mining and AJAX driven charts

• Complex database design and relational database normalization

• Linux server security (e.g. intrusion detection and automatic firewall IP blocking)

Experience in the following a plus:

• Git and GitHub source code management

• Custom shopping carts with JavaScript validation and real-time AJAX data storage

• Restaurant online ordering systems with automatic delivery routing

• API Development and applications (e.g. Twitter, PayPal, [url removed, login to view], and ACH (electronic check)

• Subscription based sites and PCI compliant automatic credit card billing systems

• Online education and testing systems (e.g. Dokeos LMS and SCORM compliant functions)

We are looking for a team member that thrives on making a real difference and wants to be a part of something from the ground up. Candidate must be in the U.S. and will work virtually with our existing team. We are seeking an individual who works on a 1099 basis as an independent contractor. No agencies, 3rd parties or recruiters.
