I have a small corporate Moodle LMS System that I run for my organization. I host it and I manage it. I can generally accomplish 90-95 percent of the tasks, but there will always be a few that I don't feel comfortable tackling. These tasks may include:
- Version upgrades
- Diagnosing the infrequent user error reports
Here's an example of a current issue:
The hosting environment is through a local web host, shared hosting, on a linux platform. The LMS is MOODLE, the most recent version, 2.x. I have roughly 700 users. The site is moderately active. A user reported that they can log into the site, but the actual SCORM modules, all delivered using flash, do not load. I have been able to recreate the issue in IE, but not in Chrome. Interestingly, in IE, if I use the browsers back button, then forward button, I can get the activity to load.
That might give you an idea of what kid of expertise I'm looking for. For reference, in the past 5 years of running the site, I have relied on this person maybe a handful of times. I pay for this out of my own pocket, so I do like to keep costs down. I would prefer dealing with individual freelancers rather than companies.
As for pay, we will always agree up front what is appropriate and you will always be paid immediately. Please keep in mind, the price I list in this ad is just for one job. Each job WILL be paid. I am eager to reward great partners doing good work.
Anyone here have that kind of expertise and want to form a long term, but infrequent partnership?
