Project Description

I need ongoing help with programming, both for a personal project with great potential and support for work I am doing right now.

I am a PHP programmer myself, and I have a long-term client (nearly 3 years now) that I need some additional assistance with. That project is coded using the DooPHP framework with Propel and Smarty. I am looking to move it across to Silex, a Symfony2 based micro framework. There is also a requirement to do some limited coding with Javascript/jQuery. I have many feature requests from the client, and many places where the code needs to be improved, and I am looking for someone to help with this.

I also have a personal project, with great potential, where I am creating a commercial application which will be offered for sale. I find that I just don't have enough hours in the week, and therefore I am looking for someone with great coding skills that can help me implement this project.

Ideally you should have a great understanding already of either Propel or Doctrine, MySQL, Smarty (including inheritance, blocks etc), and newer technologies such as Symfony2 and Dependency Injection.

If you understand how to code in a team using Git, you use OOP, you're happy to comment your code and follow exacting code standards (easy if you use PhpStorm, like I do...), then I would be very interested in discussing further with you.

To be considered I would need to see some code you have developed yourself; whether it's a class with a few methods or even a small application of some kind.

My working hours: 5pm to midnight Western Europe time (Paris, France) + weekends - you definitely need to be available for communication, and ideally for coding for at least some of that time

VERY IMPORTANT: Budget is a real issue for me. My US client isn't paying a lot in the first place, and the personal project will offer potentially serious income later, but not yet.

I am therefore looking for someone who comes from a low cost country and can afford to code a lot for not a lot of money, yet have advanced skills in PHP.

I am ideally looking to pay $5 - $8 if possible. Depending on your hourly charge it could be 10 - 40 hours per week of work.

Yes, it's not a lot per hour. However, if you work with me on my personal project there will be a substantial bonus payment when we launch and money start coming in, and a potential for a share in the profits in the future. So you are basically gambling short term low pay for future, potentially significant earnings.

If you're interested, please place a bid with your LOWEST acceptable per hour rate, and please attach a sample or two of your coding. If you're thinking "this is another deadbrain, copy-cat site without a market", please contact me via PM and we can discuss further - assuming your code samples and bid amount is acceptable. For the right person, this could be a dream project.
