I need a developer to work on www.comparisonsite.co.uk. This site will be a Premium national brand.
It will be a UK multi-category price comparison site using feeds from affiliate networks such as affiliatewindow and tradedoubler. It would also need functions to add products independently using a user-friendly backend admin.
I am interested in using Price Tapestry which is already purchased and you can create multiple installations for major categories in sub-directories that match the category name. Other ideas/scripts are welcome.
Most importantly each category needs customisable search filters. For example, for mobile phones I would like something similar to www.rightmobilephones.co.uk. Typically a mobile comparison needs to compare against more than just name / price - offers are often specified in feeds as phone / network / minutes / contract length etc. and by default this would result in many duplicate product drops however this could be resolved using filters (e.g. Text After and Text Before to build a more unique product name) - and you can add fields specific to mobile comparison so it's not impossible but a little more than a straight forward category / product installation e.g. /home-electronics/.
There needs to be product reviews and customer comments. Also a blog attached, an rss feed, links to facebook, twitter. It needs to be extremely SEO friendly with automatic meta-tag changes to suit the products. The files must be well structured and easy to navigate with categories having their own folders.
I want to use the following Magento theme - [url removed, login to view] which I have purchased and redesign as in www.comparisonsite.co.uk. The winning bidder will need to implement this.
Backend admin interface needs to be easy to use and comprehensive to allow admin to easily control feeds and add/remove feeds easily.
I need one point of contact who responds promptly and who can discuss the project over the phone.
The winning bidder needs to show examples of existing multi-category price comparison sites, price tapestry experience or similar is vital.
No timewasters without experience please. This is a big project that would require long term re-employment and support. Is this something you could handle?
