Quick PHP & Amazon S3 Project

Cancelled

Summary of Scope:

A very small website needs to be built which allows the listing and downloading of a set of documents from an Amazon S3 file store.

For a good PHP developer who has had experience with Amazon S3 and Wordpress, this should be 2-3 days work.

Key Milestones:

? Wednesday 12th - Work Complete QA Start

? Friday 14th - QA & Fixes complete

Requirements:

? Build the site on top of our own instance of Wordpress (a new bare instance)

? Use a wordpress template which leverages Bootstrap Responsive Design Framework to make the site render on desktop, tablet and mobile

? Site must provide very simple way to add users to the website (ideally an single page admin screen) for the company to use internally (not user facing)

? We wish to use a simple My-SQL User Database for our security

? The ‘document list’ view should interrogate an Amazon S3 storage bucket. Files should be encrypted and isolated by user.

? There needs to be tables in the DB which associates users so that one user can ‘Follow’ another users documents. These associations can be set up through an admin screen for the moment.

? A user should be able to download a document off the server if it is one of theirs, or one of their collegue’s they are ‘following’.

? The site should have a login screen. Also, one should be able to access the ‘document list’ and download pages by passing in a valid security token and not having to be authenticated again. Eg. [url removed, login to view]

Technologies to be used:

? Frontend: Wordpress/Javascript/HTML5/CSS3

? Frontend: Bootstrap Responsive Design Framework

? Backend: Wordpress on Linux

? Backend: Amazon S3 file storage

? Backend: Amazon Linux server instance.

? Backend: MySql

Website Pages:

1. Login Screen / Homepage

(Use default ‘Bootstrap’ login screen controls)

2. Main Screen:

[ see wireframe at boom of attached doc]

Notes:

? images for users are not configurable in this first version

? The comment speech bubble on the top file is not in scope for this first version.

? The ‘By Folder’ and ‘By Favorites’ tabs should be coded, but they will just show the same view as above in the first release. The actual pages are out of scope.

? If you click on any of the files, it will download them.

Out of Scope:

* No graphic design work required - use existing wordpress responsive template/Bootstrap
