I have a [url removed, login to view] file that within the past year has been recoded but the page just loads slow. On the page speed test I did online it was 8.06 seconds to fully load.
here is a url of the one of the pages using the [url removed, login to view] file
[url removed, login to view]
what i would like to see is this recoded using mysqli as I am switching to that from mysql as i have heard mysql will be obsolete one day
**the code might be fine the way it is and could be the images not being compressed or something like that causing the slowness of the load.
#1. recode to mysqli from mysql
#2. re-code the code if deemed necessary
#3. compress images to help load time
#4. instead of using tables use .css design (have started this using the [url removed, login to view] file and other parts of site)**can use the [url removed, login to view]
#5. anything you might think is required.
If you wish to see any of the code files I can send to you or upload them... also any questions please do not hesitate to ask,
So i just compressed by header image using a online compression and it took that page load time from just over 8 seconds down to 5.3 seconds.. Big difference. But I think there is still room in the code for improvement as it gave me a "D" for first time byte
