We are looking for a strong all-around IT pro, who will have hands-on responsibility for the maintenance of our innovative Web site and the development, testing and deployment of Web applications. You must enjoy troubleshooting architecture issues, and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of our Linux servers. A solid understanding of Web standards, Web development best practices, Web services, Web protocols, dynamic content retrieval and page rendering, site management and client/server interaction is required.


• Maintain and enhance dynamic Web site;

• Troubleshoot software, hardware, network, and user issues;

• Responsible for managing relationship with data center supplier (hosted environment);

• Help with implementation, configuration and testing of all data system upgrades in development and test environments prior to production rollout;

• Assist in planning, setup, integration and administration of application servers, network components and other technology systems;

• Take initiative to identify problems and correct them or suggest improvements;

• Document activities and procedures completely and in a timely manner;

• Manage software licensing and maintenance subscriptions to ensure compliance and coverage.


• Solid PHP development skills, OO framework and server architecture experience;

• Experience with MySQL, EC2, S3, SQS, Javascript and CSS

• Familiar with scripting languages such as perl, python, shell, etc.;

• Know the ins and outs of Linux, Apache, DNS, firewalls, security standards, RAID, and networking;

• Knowledge of cross-browser best practices;

• "Whatever it takes" attitude  (rather than "it's not my job" attitude);

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Comfortable collaborating with other developers on project teams, including remote resources;

• Interest in mapping and location-based technologies, along with a passion for the Web and using progressive Web technologies.

Work location: your home office or our offices in the Denver Tech Center, whatever you prefer!

Schedule: part-time, hourly contract work. Flexible hours.
