Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan Regan :)
This project is only open to programmers with excellent feedback. Please do not bid
unless you have at least 20 perfect ratings. I'm sorry to be so restrictuve, but I need
a professional result without problems this time. If you have any questions about me
or this project, please check my past feedback at Scriptlance (50 perfect 10/10s) ..
Ok, firstly - thanks for taking the time to read this project description :)
This I hope, will be challenging - and it requires some serious skill. You will need a
good understanding of parsing Google results, and you will need to know how to
build an RSS feed.
Here goes ...
What I require is an RSS feed, that queries the Google search engine, and parses
the listings for any given search query. In other words, I imagine it working like this:
Where "keyword" is any given keyword, or keyword combination (keyword1+keyword2)
and once I supply the keyword, the script then sends a query to Google for that keyword.
Google lists the websites, and the URLs of each of the first say 5 websites are parsed,
and then used in an RSS feed. Sound simple?
Here is a quick example of how the script would work ...
I supply the following URL for processing:
The script then runs the following query at Google:
and parses the URLs of the first five websites that appear for that query:
These websites are then supplied in an RSS feed, as clickable links.
Hopefully that makes sense. If you know what you're doing, then this will not be too hard.
As Google changes it engine regularly, you will be given future work to insure the script
stills works over time etc. If possible, I want this script to run quickly and accurately.
Hope that makes sense. Any questions? Fire them by the messageboard. Thanks :)
Cheers,
Jonathan
