Project Description

Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan Regan :)

This project is for advanced programmers only, and you must
have extensive Scriptlance feedback. This is a very important
project, and payment will be via escrow. Please take the time
to check my Scriptlance feedback before bidding. Thank you.

Ok, at the moment I own several content based websites ...

The content is written in English, but I would like you to develop
a CGI or PHP script, that will translate my words into several
other languages. There are many services on the internet that
will translate webpages - but I would prefer you to use Google:
[url removed, login to view]

Your job, is to create a script that will visit my website. It will
login via FTP, and then translate existing webpages. Then it
will save the translated pages in a different directory. Please
understand that I have LOTS of pages ...

I expect the script to be able to visit a website, login and then
translate and "re-create" thousands of pages. This amount of
translation may cause problems, by exceeding Google's AOP
(acceptable usage policy). This is why you may have to use
proxies, or perhaps build in a "delay" - so that the translation
process can proceed.

To make things easy, Google have already setup a page on
the internet, where you can translate a webpage:
[url removed, login to view]

The URL to a completed page translation looks like this:
[url removed, login to view]
(That is the sort of output that I would like you to save on my
server). So, if I have a 2,000 page website, and I run the
script - I should end up with 2,000 new pages, in a different
language. Sound simple enough?

Obviously, I understand that this is not too simple. Please bid
appropriately. I am really keen to use this script, as it looks
like a good way to build content. Also, this is for my private
use, and I will not be selling this product.

Thanks for taking the time to read this project, and I am looking
forward to working with you. This project will be open until I find
a suitable programmer to work with. Thanks again.
