We would like to modify the existing open source OCS Inventory ([login to view URL] ) (v1.01) Linux and Windows Client and Server Agents to have the ability to update the OCS server over port 443 via SSL. The key is to be able to send data via SSL (client / server). We need to send the data packets encrypted since we will not have control over the client environment. We intend to use a third party Certificate Authority. We prefer to run our server using Red Hat Enterprise License v 5.3. We would like the Win32 client to include a standard installation package for easy deployment.
