Rate of Return (ROR) template/macro in Excel that uses ongoing imported data received via email. The more automated the better. I'll provide formula/method and sample data files that will have to be imported into Excel.
One twist is there are two different sets of data coming in, one one-time data file from a? former supplier, one ongoing from the current supplier. Both say they’ll provide me? with Excel readable files...which I take to mean CSV files...and which I'll confirm.
So the hope is that I can bolt the two sources of info together in Excel so as to produce client RORs seamlessly starting from the data from the old supplier.
The main report I’d like to be able to generate at the click of a button would have to show: 1) how much client has invested (“net invested??); 2) market value; 3) ROR. (All of these numbers drive off cash flows--i.e. money in? an money outs--and dates they happened.)A householding/linking feature would be necessary as well for related accounts.
There are two other things on the report I’m contemplating, which, from a Excel-macro point-of-view probably amount to the same or very similar things.?
First, a? section that? compares the ROR number of the a given investment fund? (which number I'll supply and update? manually) to a benchmark ROR number (which I'll also d manually). This would be the normal 1, 3, 5 yr, format that is standard in the investment industry and could therefore probably be automated.
Second, in effect the same comparison as just mentioned but with a different timeframe. In other words, not the? the usual 1, 3, 5 yr thing,? but rather over a timeframe I specify and manually enter in.
I will supply sample data files.

Thanks for your interest everybody. I will post/send out the sample files and formula as soon as I get them myself. Those of you that requested them before you bid, rest assured, I will not close the auction until you've had a chance to see the files and bid.

1) I will be amending the original bid request. I can't seem to get workable data files from my current supplier and as such will not need to "bolt" this info onto the new stuff. 2)I have extended the bid closing for another two weeks due to my delay in getting you the data files (which I expect some time this week). My apologies.
