I am interested in developing Web applications for Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010.
The first of these Web applications is to use the existing Project Management site template/dashboard provided by Microsoft as a starting point for improving the functionality and ease of use for this Web part.? It should be a new application that provides a site collection for web application.? The top-level site in the site collection would be a central site where new projects (Subsites) are created, project managers are assigned and basic requirements gathered for the new project.? ? The top level site should use a web part to pull certain information from the sub site (projects) that would also allow a manager to get a quick look at? the status of all the projects? in his team or organization.
I have more ideas on this and am willing to start a dialogue with a programmer that has experience in developing .Net applications with an emphasis in SharePoint 2007.? The developer or programmer needs to thoroughly understand SharePoint and how it is used by end-users.
This will be a growing project and I'm willing to pay $[url removed, login to view] per hour for each hour consumed. I am estimating a totalof 150 hours to complete all requirements for delivering a complete Web application for project? management.
Providing the first Web application development is successful, we will begin developing additional sharePoint applications.
If you are interested in this opportunity, I would like to understand the programmer skill sets prior to beginning detailed project discussion.? Please be prepared to provide examples of your understanding of the follow items:
1.? SharePoint 2007
2.? Application development for MOSS and WSS 3.0
3.? .Net deveopment
4.? Visual Studio 2008
5.? Installation and packaging of Web parts into a SharePoint environment
