This project is to enhance the Zen Cart shopping cart to prevent incrementing product quantity when adding multiple items of the same products.
In our site, customers are allowed to add one product at a time. Let's say we are selling widgets. A customer can add 1 widget to the shopping cart and then return to the product page and select that same widget again to add two to their shopping cart. The issue is: Our products have a number of attributes and it seems that when I add two of the same products but with different attributes, that the attributes for the second product overwrite the original product attributes and the products_quantity is then set to 2.
Let me illustrate:
I add the following to the shopping cart:
Then I return to shopping and select another Widget (same product) with different attributes and add it to the cart. My cart now shows:
What I would like to see in my cart instead is two separate listings:
The winning bid will have the ability to disable 'incrementing' of product quantity in the Zen Cart shopping cart so that each time I add a product, it is returned as a separate line item.
It is important that only incrementing is disabled and that each product is treated as a new item in the Zen Cart database.
Please provide us with your bid estimate as well as time you expect to deliver the product. Also provide samples of Zen Cart customization projects you have worked on in the past.
