Project Description

The product is a website that allows barristers and solicitors to effectively and efficiently communicate for the performance of barristers’ tasks, variously described. The website will require facilities for data input by barristers (to be largely automated), and data searching by solicitors. To differentiate between the two applications, the home page will have two demarcated entry points for each professional group.

Barristers Portal will be structured as follows.
Barristers joining the site will be required to fill in relevant forms, and and confirming their registration via email. Once confirmed, the barrister must elect where they are willing to travel to work.

Barristers accounts will be either active or not, to activate an account they must subscribe, either by either 3 or 6 months in advance or a month to month basis.

The Solicitor Portal will be structured as follows.
Solicitors will be able to join the site for free, but will be charged every time they perform a search.
Searches will be performed against the barrister database, solicitors will be able to filter barristers by the following.
-Location
-Task/s
-Practice Area
-Fee Range

Solicitor searches will be shown by credits, which can be purchased in packages (Similar to how IStockPhoto does it.

The Secretary Portal.

Essentially the same as the Barrister Portal, however a secretary acts on the behalf of a barrister(s).

This is the basic idea of how the site will work. There are several smaller details that the site will involve, and I will go into detail once the winner has been confirmed.
