Project Description

This page: [url removed, login to view] describes approximately what I am trying to do.

I want to extract data from a SQL Server database and place onto Google Maps to show the location of mobile assets (ships) in real time as the data in the database updates.

The icons for each ship should:

a) Rotate to show heading of ship.

b) Change colour depending on criteria (e.g. red for stationary, green for moving)

c) Be clickable.

d) Show label with vessel name at all times.

When the asset is clicked on, the trail of past updates should be shown (from another table in the SQL Server database) for a user-defined period. Also, an area on the page should show the other information about the vessel - from other fields in the database.

There should be a grid on the side/bottom of the page outside the map showing all the ships. If one record is clicked on, the map should re-center on that ship.

If this can be achieved, there may be other work at an hourly rate to set it up on a production server and to provide other functionality.

Source code is to be provided as a deliverable.
